Ok... well I have FINALLY found the time to get own and check posts! Sorry for being so absent here lately! I think that I had mentioned in a post a while back that I would explain everything at a later time.... well I realize this is a MUCH later time.... but here it goes....
Here lately I have been making ALOT of trips back and forth to a Doctor that is about an hour and a half away from here as recommended by my local Doctor. What it is, is my Hubby and I have been trying to get pregnant for a little over a year and a half now with no success, so at this moment we are trying everything possible and they have been running tests and such to see what is wrong and so on and so forth... The medicine they have had me own here lately has been making me a little sick so I have hardly been online AT ALL. We are going to see how this month goes and if the procedure (non-surgical... just didn't want to freak anyone out) they are going to try this month works or not... and if it doesn't then we are going to be completely re-evaluating whether we want to go this route or not.... I am truely tired of being pocked and proaded and of being sick all of the time... so we will see. I just keep telling myself that it will all be worth it in the end and that is what has been keeping me going all this time.
Anyways... due to all of this and to the hopes that in the next few months we might be pregnant... I am going to be DRASTICTLY reducing my herd. I have got 10 or so Does for sale (possibly more to be added) and a Buck. My goal is to get down to a herd of no more than 15 to help make things a little easier on me. There are pics of all of the ones that will be for sale on my website but I have not went through and marked which ones will be for sale on there yet since there is so many of them and I just haven't had the time to do so yet.... so if you are interested just let me know and I can tell you which ones are for sale. I will also be posting an ad in the goats for sale section so you can take a look at there as well for the prices and all. I really hate to do this, but with everything that is going on I just can't have as large of a herd as I usually do .
Thanks everyone! And I am completely open to any questions on either one of these matters, so feel free to ask. _________________ Brandi

Welcome back, Brandi!! Although I haven't been on much either (also a long story, but nothing as exciting as yours!!), I have missed you!
Good luck with your newest adventure and I'll say every fertility chant I can remember for you!! _________________ Kokiri Kikos

oh I hope all that work pays off for you!
our neighbors tried for years and then they finally got pregnant with twins but she had to be on bed rest for the last few months of her pregnancy.
Then just a year later she got pregnant with their third, it was rather sudden and not planned. All went well with that pregnancy.
Smart of you to cut down to something manageable (though 15 is still a large number!) until you know how things will go and how much time you will have later on with a little one or two runnign around.

Thank you! Yes, we are really wanting to cut down before I get pregnant to help with things... which is why I have already started advertising them... it has just taken me a while to decide which ones I want to sale.
We are just keeping our fingers crossed that it will happen soon... and hopefully we won't have any miscarriages. I guess we will just have to wait and see!
Oh... and Dixie had her puppies last Monday (June 30th)! She had 7 and lost two that were runts... it is the first time she has ever raised less than 7. They are gorgeous! I plan on getting pics this week! 3 boys and 2 girls! My Hubby plans on keeping one, and then I think we have the rest given away to different friends that will give them a great home. Even though they are full blooded and we could have sold them for anywhere between $75 and $100 each, I would MUCH rather give them to homes that I KNOW will take good care of them I am so excited!!! She went into labor at 12:30AM late last Sunday night/early Monday morning. She delivered the last pup at 4:20 AM.... needless to say I was up ALL night with VERY LITTLE sleep!!! But it was well worth it _________________ Brandi

Hey Brandi ... don't feel guilty - life happens, and that's enough said.
I haven't been on much lately either ... due to some family issues and farm issues. Plus the hectic schedule that we have now that summer events have kicked in !!
Good luck with trying to get pregnant ! I know how you feel. Without going into my personal story ... I've had lots of problems myself. Just keep trying, but don't get stressed out. If you need someone to talk to ... we'll all be here for you, and you can always pm or email me if you want to _________________

Thanks Julie! We are trying to keep a positive outlook on everything. It would really help if this medicine wasn't making me sick so much. _________________ Brandi
